twin cities wedding photography | carolyn and brett’s wedding at st paul college club

Carolyn and Brett booked me and a second photographer for a 10-hour day, which I ~honestly~ felt was more time than we needed. But, we went with what they wanted and it was such a testament to the luxuries of building a cushy timeline and booking more time than you think you will need. The original plan was for dancing inside to start right after dinner, but the night was so beautiful and the ice cream truck had arrived, so we moved dancing back while everyone enjoyed their treats and the warm July evening. Then it was golden hour, so dancing got bumped again while Carolyn and Brett took a walk around Summit Ave and captured the most lovely portraits in the day’s last light. The timeline left us so much flexibility that, even after getting the bump twice, there was still plenty of time to document all the joy of the dance party! What an amazing day with a beautiful couple — doesn’t Carolyn remind you of a modern and stunning Betty Boop? The subtle retro style and that perfect short, dark hair with the floral head-piece?
